Adaptations and Evolution

Adaptations:

Features or behaviors that help living things survive in their environment

Types of Adaptations:

Physical → Body features (e.g., cactus stems)

Behavioral → Actions or behaviors (e.g., birds migrating)

Evolution:

Through natural selection, traits that help survival and reproduction are more likely to be passed on.

Over many generations, these traits can become common in the species.
